Memorial Day: In Flanders Fields

In honor of all Americans who gave their lives for our country, I present this moving collage of photos set to a musical version of the famous poem "In Flanders Fields."     No one says you must remember only those Americans killed. Probably better one didn't restrict one's self thus.

    True, although the origins of the day were in that vein. Fourtunately, I think most celebrate all of those who served regardless.

    Somehow I never caught this but the poem and the lady singing it sound beautiful. I love old poetry set to music! Have you ever heard The Stolen Child sung by the Waterboys (written by Yeats)?
