Hello everyone! Today is the first day of Fall 2025 for the Northern Hemisphere, and the fall season means the arrival of the fall TV season. In this age of streaming and other digital, on-demand options, the fall broadcast season isn't nearly as exciting as it used to be, but I still feel like it's a bit of an event nevertheless. But for the sake of the blog, we're going to focus on a fall TV season of the past.
Here is a promotional reel created by CBS back in 1978 to promote their fall season to their advertisers. You'll see big hits such as All In The Family, The Jeffersons, and M*A*S*H, as well as duds such as The Star Wars Holiday Special (it's not THAT bad!).
