Todd, thanks for this! I never read the story, but vividly remember seeing this cartoon in grade school as a film strip (complete with stereotypical blurry audio). I've never thought to look for it on YouTube though.
I wonder if Sarah Weinman would mind if I copycatted her and posted the film also.

I caught Kansas’ sweat rag at Music Midtown in ‘03 lol. Kid is pretty good! Just goes to show how easily good music can cross any barriers
