In 1993, when I was in college in Baltimore, a local radio station did a promotion the week of Thanksgiving and they had the real Les Nessman fly in a helicopter over a mall parking lot and they dropped paper turkeys. If you caught one, you could go into the mall to turn it in for a coupon for a turkey at your grocery store. I caught one of the turkeys and after receiving my coupon I got to meet Les and I got his autograph. Good times!
Wow, that's awesome! Now I'm only six degrees from Les Nesman.
Thanks for enjoying my blog, please come by again and spread the word! I'll be checking out your blogs today.
It's a real pity what they did to the WKRP dvd release, but even so, this was a lovely episode...and I think (maybe) this was one of the two that got a commentary.
