ABC Saturday Morning Cartoon PSAs from the 1980s
GenXers such as myself have very fond memories of our Saturday morning cartoons, and not just for the cartoons themselves. It was the entire presentation: the programs, the commercials, and the interstitial material that aired between them. ABC in particular had extensive short programming among the long-form series, largely consisting of public service announcements to educate kids (and appease government regulators).
Here is a wonderful collection of just about every PSA ABC aired on Saturday mornings in the 1980s, with the exception of Schoolhouse Rock shorts (which are worthy of their own articles and are far too numerous to contain in a single YouTube video). If it doesn't contain everything, it's really really close. Start your weekend off with this amazing 25-minute collection of 1980s Saturday morning goodness.
Have a great weekend!
